Fire Door Compliance for Hospitals and Healthcare
Sentinel Projects delivers fire door inspection, installation and remediation for hospitals and healthcare estates across Northampton, Cambridge, Oxford, London and the rest of the UK. We work in live clinical environments without closing wards, and we understand why compartmentation is not optional in a hospital. We are FireQual-qualified and BlueSky-certified.
Fire doors are mission-critical here
In most buildings, the fire strategy moves people out. In a hospital, many patients cannot be moved out, so the strategy relies on progressive horizontal evacuation: staff move patients to the next fire compartment and wait there in safety.
That only works if the compartments hold. Every fire door and every sealed penetration is part of keeping a ward safe while a fire is contained next door. A failed door is not a paperwork problem in a hospital. It is a clinical safety problem. We deliver fire door inspections, remediation and passive fire stopping in live clinical areas without closing wards.
Work that keeps wards open
Closing a ward is rarely an option, so we plan around clinical operations:
Phased works that keep departments running
Out-of-hours scheduling for sensitive areas
Infection-control-aware working, with containment and clean-down
Coordination with your estates and infection-prevention teams
What we do for healthcare estates
We work to the Health Technical Memorandum 05 firecode and to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
